Top Jazz star Courtney Pine on his way to Bridport

One of the country’s best known and respected saxophonists, Courtney Pine is confirmed to play at the Electric Palace in Bridport on Thursday, September 23rd. By showcasing Courtney Pine live at the venue, the Electric Palace is sending out a clear message that they are now on equal footing with some of the best live music venues in the country.

Courtney Pine is regarded as one of the most exciting and talented performers around, controversially fusing acoustic jazz with hip-hop, groove, reggae, soul, drum ‘n’ bass and afro-beat and is credited with transforming the face of British contemporary jazz. He has played on the main stage at Glastonbury and was asked to perform for Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday concert at Wembley Stadium.
